Tool Tech Solutions is a renowned manufacturer and supplier of Tool Holders, Solid Carbide Tools, PCD/CBN Tools & Inserts and Brazed Tools. We have great expertise in recycling of used inserts that always distinguishes us in the competitive market. Having more than two decades’ working experience in ‘M/s Widia (India) Limited’, Mr. Purushothama (Founder & Managing Director) started the company with a zeal to satisfy all kinds of customers across the country. For implementing the new concept of cutting tool technology, he received Special Award in Techmach Exhibition and Bharath Udyog Award for self achievement.
When the company started its business operations in 1995 as a small scale industry, it had a team of only three persons who handled successfully Surface Grinding, Toll & Cutter and Grief Grinding Machines. Currently, our company has grown to strength of more than sixty employees working on around 30 various machineries round the clock in different shifts. We have been serving over 300 various industries offering their services with high degree of customer satisfaction. In order to ensure timely delivery and quality products, we have established our own full-fledged design and quality control departments.
Recycling Indexable Inserts
Companies are restoring their worn-out & damaged tooling to like-new conditions and saving thousands of tools in the process by reuse, resize and re-engineering. There was a time when tool holder costs were affordable for replacement but the present conditions do not permit the same. The latest trends of increased costs of indexable inserts used in milling cutters, boring bars, standard and special tooling is becoming a luxury, only few companies can afford. Maximum savings can only be achieved by a planned formal salvage program, effective management and support from management to establish good practices in usage.
Internationally, the TC cutting tools dominate the market. However, in India the market for both HSS cutting tools and TC tools was same, but TC tools are being embraced more & more mainly due to technological advances. With great emphasis being laid on CNC automation and computer integrated flexible manufacturing concepts in the engineering industries, the cutting tool industry is now forced to promptly respond to the changing need of the customers by adopting flexible and cost competitive manufacturing solutions and the technology imperatives to offer latest product technology.
The regeneration of cutting edges on tools, damaged due to wear is an established practice for high-speed steel tools. However the same concepts for throwaway inserts, introduced in the early stages were less expensive. Present costs are prohibitive due to various developments & complex nature of tool geometries and application of coating systems to provide better performance. Tool regrinding techniques for carbide demand diamond wheels and type of machines for servicing that are suitable to carbide. The reconditioning skills and control of geometry, size, and shapes are thus critical for rows. The reground tools should fit in the available tool holders such as, standard tools or to be used by designing the suitable pockets to reuse the worn-out inserts.
